Are you ready for the New Year?

There are several items that need to be considered as you start the new year in your Work From Home Business.

1. Taxes - Start gathering those receipts and pay stubs. You should consult a small business tax site to be sure that you claim all deductions and do it properly. One such site is http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/index.html.

2. Update date References. - Make sure that you review all of your different means of advertising for references to last year. You should be sure everything with a reference to last year is updated to reflect the new year. Your visitors will realize you are serious and dedicated to your business if they see new information and not "old stuff" with last year's date.

3. Advertising - Just because you are getting visitors to your site does not mean you are productive. Tracking your advertising methods is extremely important to see which ads are benefiting your business the most.

4. Multiple Streams of Income - Consider adding another stream of income to your present business adventure. Multiple streams of income enable many of us to be full-time Work From Home business owners. Be smart in your quest and use the Free Trials to your advantage. When you sign up for a Free Trial, use that time to learn the business, see if it is for you, etc.
Keep a record of the start and end date of your trial period. Many times, marketers will sign up for a Free Trial, get busy, and forget about it. Before you know it, you are being charged for a program you have not even used. Recording and monitoring those trial periods will give you the ability to see what the opportunity is all about and to opt out if it is not for you.

5. Forums - Utilize Forums that have members involved in your area of business. These can be very beneficial to those just starting out. It is a great learning tool and there are many ideas to be shared. You can post questions and receive answers from experienced business owners, avoiding many of the mistakes often made in home businesses. I am personally a member of several forums and would be happy to share with you. Just drop me an email to receive that information.

6. Remember it’s a journey - So often, as home business owners, we spend too much time on our business. It can't all happen in a day, so, stop and smell the roses along the way. Spend time with your family, take a walk, read a book, go fishing ~ aren't those the joys of being home!

Here's to a happy and prosperous New Year!

HERE ARE 7 SECRETS TO YOUR SUCCESS WITH AFFILIATES PROGRAMS

Copyright © Toby Rogers

1. FIND YOUR NICHE – Your special skills, knowledge you have and enjoy sharing can fill a need and provide a solution within a niche market. Once you find your niche then build around "Affiliates Programs" that associates with your Niche. Why Affiliate Programs? Because, you can only become successful by making others Successful and affiliate programs are proven successful method to do this.

2. RESEARCH THE MARKET - Find a hungry market around your Niche, if you can find a group of people in need and come up with a solution they will be willing to Join your Affiliate Program and part with their money without pressure.

3. FIND A GOOD PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES A SOLUTION – Every Problem you find around your Niche is an opportunity to make money online.

4. FIND A GOOD PROGRAM THAT MAKES A SOLUTION CHEAPER - Look for an Affiliate Program that makes a solution Cheaper, Easier, Simpler.

5. DO NOT BE GREEDY - Only invest what you can afford to "LOSE". This is the time to check your emotions and let your logic do the decision making for you. Every good salesman knows “Greed + Emotion = sale” so, you can expect every sales page to try and touch your greed and emotions; if you are greedy you’ll end up buying into programs that do not work for you and you will set yourself up for failure.

6. GIVE THE BENEFIT OF DOUBT - Positively promote the affiliate program(s) you choose as if it/they are yours. Do this with all the faith and hope that it will meet your needs until you are sure it’s the right program for you. However, if you find a particular program is not right for you don’t bad mouth it. Just make your decision and take action on it. If you continue with a program that doesn’t work for you or you don’t give a program a chance to work, IT IS YOUR OWN FAULT, not the programs.

7. LEVERAGE YOUR TIME AND DIVERSIFY – Find another program to promote with the same techniques and go on and on until your reach your Financial Destiny. This is the most important point I can stress, after all what you need to fully leverage your time is multiple streams of income

USING E-MAIL TO BUILD SALES
Copyright © Toby Rogers

The idea of an effective contact list, (e-mail list) and marketing campaign is having a solid rapport. Although you want your prospect to buy, you shouldn’t immediately and constantly bombard the folks on your email list with nothing but sales pitches. Be a person first and a salesperson second for the best results.

Instead of getting tunnel-vision and only seeing the short-term goal of the right-now sale, remember that your email messages are an important way for you to build a RELATIONSHIP with a consumer based on your HONESTY AND SERVICE.

Your first few email sales letters may prove to be the most effective if they are written in a warm, helpful, ‘lets be business friends’ voice. You can not close a deal or sell anything until you have established rapport.

Most people are on the Internet looking for information - not waiting to be sold. People don’t want to be pitched to every day with a "you better buy it now" message. So don’t be a salesperson. Be Mr. /Ms. Information or Mr. Answer-man. It is easy to become a trusted source after you have become a trusted resource

Remember lasting relationships don’t happen overnight...they’re built over time. Your sales letters should be crafted in a way that slowly, but surely convinces your prospects that you’re someone with whom they’d like to do business. After you’ve laid a foundation -- made them happy with what you’ve given them as a gift, demonstrated your knowledge, etc. -- you’ll have plenty of time to build a case for buying from you.

You can influence people when they know you, like you, and trust you. Ongoing timely communications means you can continue to build rapport with the people on your list, and you can be sure that if they TRUST you, they will be open to BUYING from you.

Gaining contacts by using friendly emails.

Think...where do I know this person from?

You made contact by sending cute friend type emails right? So do it again. Only this time, use the skills you've learned and don't send forwards.
Ad a hyperlink to your email with subject line on it so that they can just click the link to email you and the subject will be included for them.

mailto:toby@4cornersgroup.net?subject=friends is a good one.

Then make a filter for everything with the subject friends to
go to a specific folder, contacts, friends, addresses whatever you want to name it.
That way you'll not have your new contact's emails going into your other accounts inbox and they won't get all mixed up. You'll be able to tell at a glance who your contacts are.

Here is a fun little test...
Read this sentence:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE-SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF-IC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.

Now count the F's in that sentence. and see the answer below...

How many did you find? Be honest now.

There are six F's in the sentence. A person of average intelligence finds three of them. If you spotted four, you're above average. If you got five, you can turn your nose at most anybody. If you caught six, you are a genius. There is no catch. Many people forget the "OF"s. The human brain tends to see them as V's and not F's. Pretty weird, huh? Pass this on to anyone you feel would enjoy this.
I only got 4...
How did you do? please leave your comments, and comment on other posts too!
